外侨申请居留证及延期/ ARC Application & Extension for Foreigners
1. 首次申请居留证（ARC）
o 外国人持 FS（就学）、FR（居留）或其他居留事由签证入境台湾后，须至移民署或其网站办理就学/居留居留证。
o 所需文件通常包括：签证、护照、入学或工作证明、财力证明、健康检查报告等。
2. 居留证延期
o 依据法规：《外国人停留、居留及永久居留办法》第3、8、22-1条。
o 申请时程：于居留证到期前30日内提出。
o 申请地点：居留地内政部移民署服务处。
o 所需文件：现有居留证、护照及相关证明文件。
1. Initial ARC Application
o Foreigners entering Taiwan with FS (Student), FR (Resident), or other residence visas must apply for the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at the National Immigration Agency (NIA) or via their website.
o Required documents usually include: visa, passport, proof of enrollment or employment, financial proof, health check report, etc.
2. ARC Extension
o Legal Basis: Articles 3, 8, and 22-1 of the Regulations on the Stay, Residence, and Permanent Residence of Foreign Nationals.
o Application Period: Within 30 days before the ARC expires.
o Application Location: NIA service office in your place of residence.
o Required Documents: Current ARC, passport, and supporting documents.

-提交居留证正本、护照正本或经驻外机构验证的护照影本、委讬书（需验证）、其他相关文件
- 交由受委讬人至内政部移民署办理，或
- 透过移民署线上系统申请延期

- Submit original ARC, original passport or authenticated copy, power of attorney (authenticated), and other relevant documents
- Authorized person applies at NIA, or
- Apply online via NIA system for extension

外侨居留证逾期 / ARC Overstay
依据法规
• 《入出国及移民法》第 31 条、第 85 条。
说明
• 外国人居留证（ARC）逾期未办理延长或离境，属违法行为。
• 违规者可能面临罚款、限制再入境或驱逐出境等处分。
• 如居留证即将到期，应提早办理延期或离境手续。

Explanation
• Staying in Taiwan after the ARC expires without extension or departure is illegal.
• Violators may face fines, entry bans, or deportation.
• Apply for ARC extension or leave Taiwan before the ARC expires.
在台停留或居留期间，不可以做与申请停留、居留目的不一样的活动或工作。如果有违法工作的情况，可以强制驱逐出国。
在台停留或居留期间，须随身携带护照或外侨居留证。主管机关或其他依法令赋予权责之公务员，可以在执行公务时，要求出示这些证件。若未依规定随身携带护照或外侨居留证者，将被罚款 1,000 元。
